Lifandi myndir · 1–3 mínútur · Ráðgáta og sannir glæpir

“A 90-second film about the unsolved 1900 disappearance of the three lighthouse keepers of the Flannan Isles — the stopped clock, the untouched meal, the logbook's last entries, and the theories that still divide people.”

  • The Winter Inn

    Talandi myndir · 3–5 mínútur · Anime-innblásið

“Make a 5-minute anime short called "The Winter Inn." Aoi, 16, steps off the last bus of the day at a snowed-in mountain inn that belonged to her grandmother, who died this autumn. The inn is closed for the winter, and the snow is still falling. The old caretaker, Mr. Sato, a gentle man of few words, has kept the fires going and is waiting for her at the door. By the hearth he pours her tea, and after a long silence he tells her that her grandmother left something only for her. That night Aoi finds an old brass key on her pillow and a note in her grandmother's handwriting: "Don't open the east room until the snow stops." She stands at the east room's door in the dark hallway and hears, very faintly, someone on the other side humming the song her grandmother used to sing to her. It ends there. Tone: quiet, tender and a little mysterious, like the first minutes of a Studio Ghibli film. Slow, with long looks, small gestures and silences between the words; the falling snow and the warm firelight matter as much as anything anyone says. This is the beginning of a longer story, so leave the mystery unanswered.”

  • Last Check

    Talandi myndir · 1–3 mínútur · Hryllingssaga

“A 90-second horror story. Alone on the night shift in a closed department store, a security guard watches the store's cameras from his small office. Every time he checks them, the mannequins on the sales floor stand in new poses, each time a little closer to his office. On his last check, the hallway camera shows one mannequin standing right outside his office door, facing it. He turns toward the door. No narrator: he is alone, so the only words are the few he says out loud to himself as his fear grows, plus a gasp or a scream only where the moment calls for it. Slow, quiet dread.”

  • The Last Light

Full hreyfing · Undir 30 sekúndum · Dramamynd

“A short drama set in a stone lighthouse on the Cornish coast in 1899, on the last night before the old keeper retires. ELIAS, the weathered keeper in his sixties, is handing the light over to TOMAS, his earnest young replacement, as a storm builds outside. The scene: in the lamp room, Elias shows Tomas how to tend the lamp, gruff and exacting; Tomas is nervous but determined. As the wind rises, Elias confesses the thing he has never told anyone — forty years ago, on his first winter, he let the light go out for one night, and a ship went onto the rocks. He makes Tomas promise him one thing: whatever happens, the light never goes dark. At dawn the storm has passed. Elias walks down the cliff path with his sea bag while Tomas stands at the gallery rail beside the burning lamp, keeping the promise. Tone: somber, weathered, quietly redemptive. Both men speak on camera; short natural lines.”

  • Just One Slice

Lifandi myndir · Undir 30 sekúndum · Teiknuð saga · Ferningur

“A 25-second comedy sketch in a small-town diner. Three friends stare at a pie on the counter: Gus, a big bearded trucker; Priya, a sharp-witted waitress; and old Mr. Feld in a bow tie. Gus says, "I'll just have one slice." Priya slides him the whole pie without a word. Mr. Feld raises his coffee cup in salute. Bright and playful, with a jaunty music sting at the end.”

  • Running Gold

    Full hreyfing · 30–60 sekúndur · Kvikmyndastikla

“A trailer for a heist thriller set in a snowbound rail yard: a crew of four, a gold train that never stops, a countdown, fast cuts and breath in the cold — and one line of dialogue at the end: "Nobody steals from a moving train."”

    Blandað · 1–3 mínútur · Vísindaskáldskaparmynd

“A 90-second sci-fi short. Mara, a cargo pilot alone on a six-month haul past Neptune, picks up a distress call. Her ship's computer tells her the signal was sent forty years ago, from a ship that was never found. She answers anyway — and a voice answers back, using her name. Lonely, tense and beautiful.”

  • The Last Map of Winter

    Blandað · 1–3 mínútur · Fantasíumynd

“The Last Map of Winter. Ivy (20s, a young mapmaker in a red scarf and fur-lined coat) races her rival Corvin (40s, a scar through one eyebrow, long black greatcoat) across a frozen mountain pass to reach a lost monastery before the winter storm seals it for a year. It opens on Ivy's hand-drawn map spread across a tavern table by candlelight, the route marked in red ink. At first light the two set out from the same village, trading barbs on the trail: "You'll be buried in the first drift." "Then I'll map the drift." Snow begins to fall as they climb. Corvin cuts a rope bridge behind him to slow her. Ivy leaps the crevasse and slides down an ice chute on her pack. An avalanche thunders down the slope and buries Corvin, and Ivy digs him out with her bare hands. Shaken, he admits he never wanted to reach it alone. They reach the monastery's great doors together as the storm closes in, the monks lighting lanterns along the wall. Final image: Ivy adds the monastery to her map, Corvin's name written beside hers. Thrilling and warm: rivals to friends.”

  • नदी को मोड़ना

Lifandi myndir · 1–3 mínútur · Söguleg heimildarmynd · hindí

“A 90-second history documentary about building the Hoover Dam between 1931 and 1936: the Black Canyon of the Colorado River before the dam, the four diversion tunnels, the high scalers hanging on ropes to clear the canyon walls, concrete poured in columns cooled by pipes, the workers' town of Boulder City, and President Roosevelt dedicating the dam in 1935. Use real archive footage where it exists, and a few reconstructed scenes with people: a high scaler on a rope against the canyon wall, an engineer at a drafting table in a field office, workers eating lunch on a steel beam above the river. Calm, factual narration.”

  • Original Condition

    Full hreyfing · 30–60 sekúndur · Grínatriði

“A comedy sketch: a nervous man returns a lamp to an antiques shop because it is haunted — it glows, whispers his name and floats. The deadpan shop assistant refuses to acknowledge any of it and keeps reading the returns policy aloud. It ends with the lamp politely asking for a receipt.”

  • The café scene

    Full hreyfing · 30–60 sekúndur · Dramamynd

“A single scene in a bright coffee shop, mid-morning, window light. Two friends in their early twenties sit across a small table: ALEX, a young man, and MAYA, a young woman. Both are ordinary, healthy build, casually dressed. No other characters speak and no one else is featured. The whole film is this one conversation, shot as a two-hander in shot/reverse-shot. There is no narrator. The dialogue, in this order and close to these words: ALEX: “You’re going to laugh, but I’ve started running.” MAYA: “You? Running.” ALEX: “Three mornings a week. Six kilometres this morning.” MAYA: “In this weather?” ALEX: “That’s the best part. Nobody else is out there.” MAYA: “Alright. Next Saturday I’ll come with you.” ALEX: “You’ll regret that.” MAYA: “Almost certainly.””
